Terms and Conditions of Sale
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of www.bathroomessence.co.uk, operated by Govni Ltd, trading as Bathroom Essence, a family-run business with over 50 years of experience in Birmingham’s bathroom trade. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website. We may update these terms periodically, and changes will apply to future transactions. These terms are effective as of August 2025 and do not affect your statutory rights under UK law, including the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Orders and Acceptance
All orders placed through www.bathroomessence.co.uk are subject to these Terms and Conditions. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your order details, including product specifications and delivery information. Orders are not binding until we confirm acceptance via email or phone. We reserve the right to refuse orders if details are incomplete or incorrect. Full payment is required before delivery, as outlined in our FAQs.
Product Description, Price, and Availability
Product descriptions, specifications, and prices (including VAT) are displayed on our website at the time of your order. While we strive for accuracy, images and specifications are for guidance only, and goods may vary slightly. You are responsible for verifying product suitability before purchase or installation.
If a pricing error is identified before delivery, we’ll contact you to confirm the correct price or offer a full refund if you choose to cancel. If an ordered item is out of stock, we’ll notify you promptly and provide an estimated delivery time or a refund within 24 hours if the delay is unacceptable. Refunds will be credited to your original payment method.
Delivery
We deliver to the registered address of the cardholder for card payments, or to the address specified for bank transfer or cheque payments, within the UK. Delivery dates are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays or any associated costs, such as tradesman fees, and recommend arranging installation only after inspecting goods. For large or heavy items, an able-bodied person must be available to assist the driver, as our deliveries are made by a single driver for cost efficiency, per health and safety rules.
You must inspect goods upon delivery and note any damage or shortages on the driver’s paperwork. Notify us of issues within 24 hours at support@bathroomessence.co.uk. Do not refuse delivery unless all items are damaged, as you may incur return and redelivery costs for undamaged items. We are not liable for losses if you accept goods without inspection.
Returns and Cancellations
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have 14 calendar days from receiving stock items to cancel your order, excluding bespoke or made-to-measure items (e.g., shower enclosures). To cancel, notify us in writing (email to support@bathroomessence.co.uk or post to Govni Ltd, 93 Amington Road, South Yardley, Birmingham B25 8ET) with order details. You are responsible for returning goods in their original, unopened, and resalable condition at your cost, unless faulty or incorrect, in which case we’ll cover reasonable return costs.
For returns, contact us within 14 days to arrange. Goods must be unused, in original packaging, and undamaged. If tested and found not faulty, only the product value (not delivery costs) will be refunded, and you may incur collection costs. Installed or used goods are not refundable unless faulty. Warranty
All products come with a minimum 12-month manufacturer’s warranty from the delivery date. Extended warranties, if advertised, are provided by manufacturers, not Bathroom Essence, and are subject to their terms. Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, negligence, improper installation, or unauthorized repairs. Report faulty goods within 24 hours of delivery to support@bathroomessence.co.uk. We may repair, replace, or refund faulty goods at our discretion. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Liability
Our liability for any product purchased is limited to its purchase price or replacement cost. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of income, business, or anticipated savings, arising from product use or delivery delays.

Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of English courts. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
